Adolf II of Lotharingia was count in Keldachgau and Vogt of Deutz (1002–1041), and was the son of Adolf I of Lotharingia, count in Keldachgau, Vogt of Deutz. He left two sons: * Adolf I of Berg, count of Berg from 1077 until 1082, Vogt of Werden, Deutz, Berg and Gerresheim (died 1086); * Hermann IV, count of Saffenberg and Nörvenich, Vogt of Cornelimünster und St. Martin in Cologne (born 1041, died 1091) A generation is missing, looking at the death date and the birth date. Adolf II of Lothringen lived 1002 to 1041 and Adolf I of Berg lived from 1078 to 21 July 1160. Herman II lord of Saffenberg is supposedly the son of Herman I of Lothringen and his brother is Steffan Saffenberg (abbot of Prüm 993-1001). ==References== * Lewald, Ursula, 'Die Ezzonen.
